The 43rd Annual PCOT Tournament started today with Habs legend Mr. Elmer Lach and Dave Stubbs of the Gazette to drop the puck for the offical opening of the tournament.
Pointe-Claire mayor Bill McMurchie was also on hand for this first game between the Pointe-Claire & South Shore Sages of the 70+ division.
Pointe-Claire were good hosts and let the Sages win 8-1.
7 Days... 82 teams... Lots of Hockey!
Good luck to all this week!
The 2010-12 season is finished. Congrats to the winners. Hope everyone had fun (I did).
But wait... the hockey is not done yet. THE Tournament runs April 16-22.
Good luck to all this week!
After 4 out of 5 weeks of playoff round-robins (2 out of 3 for the Beliveau division) nothing is certain except Les Franglais.
In the Beliveau Division Les Franglais will be in the final. This Friday's games will decide who they play against.
The Harvey Division has something unique. All of the teams in the Harvey Division are tied (2 wins - 2 losses each). This could be a nightmare in the making (or a PCOT record) if...
The 'Tie Breaker' rules are HERE.
(The '3-way-tie' apllies if 4, 5 or 6 teams are tied)
Four teams are still in contention in the Richard Division. The Olde Rockers & Dark Horses are out of the running but still could be spoilers.
At least this will make all of the games this weekend interesting.
Good luck to all this weekend!
